And by "Presidential" I mean Weather.
Thank you for tuning in tonight to listen to this important presidential debate. On my left is California (typical) represented by the very bright and cheerful San Diego, and to my right is Michigan, who have chosen their capital city of Lansing as their representative. Tonight, these two great states will be debating the very socially aware topic of weather. So without further ado, let us begin.
The first important item for discussion is that of temperature. Lansing, across the year, what is your average temperature?
Lansing: 48 F
Thank you Lansing, and you San Diego?
San Diego: 64 F
Well that's relatively close, only 16 degrees of separation. Not as good as Kevin Bacon, but still relative. Sticking with temperatures, let's talk Highs and Lows. Lansing, what is your balanced High and what do you see as your average low?
Lansing: High is 57, Low is 37
A nice even 20 points between the two figures there Lansing, very nicely presented. I now turn this to San Diego.
San Diego: 71 and 57
A much closer gap of only 14 declared by San Diego. Interesting point they make as well that their low is Lansing's high. We'll see how that's reflected in the polls.
Moving on to our next topic, this is one that sees both sides with very contrasting views. It is without a doubt the biggest differentiator between these two and will arguably be the deciding factor for voters. It is of course Downfall. Lansing, in the twelve calendar months of the year tell us what your precipitation is, on average of course.
Lansing: 30.8 inches
I see, and you San Diego?
San Diego: 9.9
How about snow; Lansing?
Lansing: 48.9 inches
That's quite a number. San Diego?
San Diego: I don't understand the question.
Okay, interesting tact there from San Diego, choosing to deny any knowledge of snow. We will see how that affects their snowboarding contingency. Well we're running out of time so a few quick fire questions before we wrap up:
Average of Clear Days:
Lansing: 71
San Diego: 147
Average of Cloudy Days:
Lansing: 190
San Diego: 102
Average of Rainy Days:
Lansing: 140
San Diego: 42
Average Days Above 90F:
Lansing: 10
San Diego: 4
Average Days Above 65F:
Lansing: 157
San Diego: 201
Average Days Below 32F:
Lansing: 149
San Diego: I'm sorry, did you say "below"?
Average Days Below 5F:
Lansing: 20
San Diego: Oh that's just inhumane. Isn't there a law to protect against that?

I see what you did there... =P

You know, we over here in the Great Lake State try to put those last two averages out of our thoughts until it is absolutely necessary... however, it does beg the question of why we put up with it and why is it that Global warming passed us over???
